New Wools and some pics of the studio......hooking day!

New wools listed at the website....here's the link:
WOOLENS page
Today's a nice day... we have 5 ladies joining us in the studio.  Most are hooking, one is stitching....as I type.  They've decided to join us once a month until we move.  It sure is nice having a get together, we've missed the interaction of others.  Have an internet business is nice, but meeting people and sharing in the joy of creating is the best.  So, with that we spiffied up the studio and you know that whenever it's clean I have to snap some pictures.

"Stars and Flowers" for punch and wool applique.  I'm plugging away.  Should be done the punch next week, then it's on to the wool applique.

Kathy working on her "Shelter" rug...

Mom is right in her glory, discussing her favorite subject...

What would any gathering be without cookies?

Nancy works on her "Down Home" rug.

Here's the "Down Home" rug Nancy is working on, it was featured in the months Primitive Quilts magazine as a free pattern.
Nancy finished her Mrs. Bunny rug.  She says it's by "Off the Hook".  Lovely, I love the background, it is our Eggplant plaid wool.

Yvonne and Pat.  Pat is giving hooking a try!

You know you have too many rugs when you have to start hanging them in the bathroom!

Sit and hook a spell......

More goodies!

Pretty wool and little kits ready to go!
So, with that, after the ladies leave, Mom and I are taking a little break, going to lunch and doing a little shopping.  There is a "flea market" type antique store I've been wanting to visit and a wonderful store in Rolla called "Happenstance" that we haven't been to in a couple of months.  Sounds like a good day huh?

**If you might be the lady who wrote about purchasing samples of the wool for the "Stars and Flowers" rug, I have no way to get back to you as you did not send your name or email address in both messages.**

Until next time....

He is now officially a retired Colonel and has just entered the civilian workforce and I am happily settled in our 1830 Stone house. I (along with my Mom) operate www.theoldtatteredflag and currently we are building a small shop in the back part of the house. We live in Northern NY, right near the Canadian border. I have two handsome sons and 2 puggles. Life is busy for us, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
