The Old Tattered Flag

Happy Sunday!!  We've been very busy this weekend.  Our house was on the front page of the classifieds so we wanted to get things in order in case someone wants to come look.  Hubby and I cleaned the garage, the tool room and the attic.  Three big jobs.  Local ladies, you'll be happy to hear that we carted up a bunch of stuff to the barn for the sale.  Still not sure when it will be though.
If anyone knows of someone who is looking for a big stone historical house in Evans Mills, NY, look us up.  It was built in 1830 and has been updated; new windows, water system throughout the house, new leachfield, new furnace and more.  It is MLS# S267565 if anyone wants to take a look.  Fort Leonardwood is where we have to report in July and I'd really like to go with hubby, but will not until the house is sold, so please, send them our way.

As for the pictures, I've been busy with the house and working on some orders, but did manage to cut out three new penny rug/wool appliques the other day.  They are ready for stitching and to be written up so look for them very soon.  Then, of course.....Baxter!!  Had to get him today as he's been following me around everywhere I go, looking at me as if to say "can we sit down now"?
Until next time......

I was doing the house sell thing a year ago! Good luck with your listings and showings. It's stressful, though. Keep picturing yourself in the new home, where you need to be!
Blessings,
Courtney

Baxter is very spoiled. I'm sure our first dog, lady, who wasn't allowed to get on the bed or the couch, etc. Is looking down and saying "what the heck", but Baxter's face is just priceless.

About Me

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my blog. I am married and just entering the second phase of my life as a Army retiree's wife. My husband and I did 25+ years in the Army. He is now officially a retired Colonel and has just entered the civilian workforce and I am happily settled in our 1830 Stone house. I (along with my Mom) operate www.theoldtatteredflag and currently we are building a small shop in the back part of the house. We live in Northern NY, right near the Canadian border. I have two handsome sons and 2 puggles. Life is busy for us, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
