Our First Rug Hooking Class
We had our first rug hooking class yesterday and are happy to say it went very well. Mom had two students which was just the right amount as she really wanted to devote her full attention and show every aspect of rug hooking. We have several other ladies who are interested but could not make it because of the holiday weekend.
Sue and Lillith really caught on quick and were full of energy and "wonder" at the art of the craft. Both love the primitive style and mom and I were amazed at how even their loops were right from the beginning. We were able to offer a selection of hooks, frames, patterns and wool and are anxious to eventually get a group of "hookers" in the area to just get together and hook, share ideas, show the latest project, etc. It is such a fun and rewarding art and we want to thank both Sue and Lilleth for sharing in our first venture............

- Thank you very much for taking the time to read my blog. I am married and just entering the second phase of my life as a Army retiree's wife. My husband and I did 25+ years in the Army. He is now officially a retired Colonel and has just entered the civilian workforce and I am happily settled in our 1830 Stone house. I (along with my Mom) operate www.theoldtatteredflag and currently we are building a small shop in the back part of the house. We live in Northern NY, right near the Canadian border. I have two handsome sons and 2 puggles. Life is busy for us, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
