While we were on vacation we decided to haul the boat over to my sister's house in Vermont. It was only about 1 1/2 hours from the lake house we had rented and we decided it made more sense then to haul it all the way back to Missouri only to haul it back up when we move in November. So, while I was there I snapped some photos of her rugs. She has hooked for many years, we both learned from Mom a long time ago. Some of you may have purchased wool from my sister, she sold hand dyed wool on ebay for many years under the name lbkmt. She decided to get a "real" job for a few years at a local historical society and is now focusing on her paper mache folkart as I have told you before. Anyway, her rugs are gorgeous!!! She tends to go a bit more primitive than I do, although I love the look equally as much and her colors are a bit darker. I find it fascinating though to see everyone's interpretation of a design. Enjoy the tour of her rugs!

A few years ago when we were stationed at Fort Stewart, a friend of mine was stitching this beautiful sampler to sell on ebay. I ended up having her personalize it as a Christmas gift for my sister and ever since then have asked myself why I didn't snatch it up!!!
Until next time...... |

Wow! You are one talented family! Lisa makes beautiful rugs and her paper mache is awesome too! BTW - I have that same rug from Home Depot - it's great!
I love that home depot rug, she also has two runners. We couldn't find it at the home depot here in Missouri, Mom wanted one for her bedroom....
Thanks Gayle
I would like to be adopted into your family! These rugs are gorgeous!
I love that log cabin rug... log cabin is my favorite quilt block.
I will be purchasing one of your sisters halloween/fall figures one of these days. I have one of her Santa's and love it.

Yes, that log cabin is gorgeous!! Wish you could all see it in person. I'll post on the blog when she gets her Halloween figures uploaded to Etsy!
Thanks Ellen!
Wonderful rugs!!! Love the lollipop basket
I bought wool from your sister on eBay years ago. Small world.

Lauren
Hi, I saw the Pomegranate rug on the web somewhere and want to hook it. I was surprised and happy when I saw it on your blog because I would like to find out whose pattern it is so I can get permission to hook it and give credit to the creator. Did Lisa come up with the pattern? If not does she know where it came from? I'm new to rug hooking and I don't want to offend anyone. Thanks for your help, Ronda
