I've been trying to get back in the swing of things since we got back from the Northeast. I have decided I need to bite the bullet and get all my designs punched. I have over 85 designs and am way behind so I just picked up my punch needle and have committed to getting them all done. The first one I completed was my "Family" design. Love it! Next on my frame is my set of 9 petite prims and my new Checkerboard.
The next photo is our wonderful "Christmas in New England" tree skirt. Mom has been plugging away on it here and there and it is coming along nicely. She did the snow in a great silver gray spot dye. The background will be a dark blue which is really going to pull it all together. I'll keep showing you her progress....
The next one is a new design. "Cottontail Carrot Co." is meant to be reminiscent of an old trade sign. I just live the colors we chose, the soft plaid is going to be the background. That should be available within the week, pattern and kit, on the website, www.theoldtatteredflag.com
Next is something new we are trying. Every month we will feature a wool of the month bundle packaged up in a cute way. Wouldn't you just love to get a bouquet of wool? There is a little box of candy hearts attached to the front as well. What a great gift for a friend or to treat yourself. $16 worth of wool for $14. This bundle is right at the top of the WOOLENS page at www.theoldtatteredflag.com
Lastly I snapped a couple photos of the studio that was in dire need of a touch up. I wanted a big table in the center of the room for cutting wool and for color planning.
Keep checking back as we have lots of great new ideas plus videos tutorials of rug hooking and punch needle coming very soon.
Until next time......

About Me
- theoldtatteredflag
- Thank you very much for taking the time to read my blog. I am married and just entering the second phase of my life as a Army retiree's wife. My husband and I did 25+ years in the Army. He is now officially a retired Colonel and has just entered the civilian workforce and I am happily settled in our 1830 Stone house. I (along with my Mom) operate www.theoldtatteredflag and currently we are building a small shop in the back part of the house. We live in Northern NY, right near the Canadian border. I have two handsome sons and 2 puggles. Life is busy for us, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
