Zucchini anyone??

I feel like Bubba.......we've made zucchin bread, zucchini soup, zucchini vegetable pasta..........I wish you all lived nearby so we could give you some, but then again, you probably are all in the same boat.

Here's another rug I just finished hooking. A very simple design, but I've found that most of our students like the more simple designs. I used some of the new wools mom got in last week. The background is our tic tac toe plaid wool and it has highlights of tan/orange and blue/gray in it which makes a really neat look. The pattern and kit are available on ebay and will be on the website by the end of the day.

Thanks so much Ginger for your advice about dyeing floss. I'm going to give that a try later today hopefully. I actually can't wait to see the results.

Until next time......

Oh I wish I could remember what blog I saw this on, but someone made a pie with zucchini and it is supposed to taste like apples...I just looked it up and it's over at Primitive Betty's. Might be a change! You can find her off of my blog if you don't already follow her.

I love your designs, Julie. Your mother is an awesome hooker. The rug with the witch is just gorgeous! I still have my "Crows on Parade" table runner I made about 8 years ago from your pattern. It's one of my favorites!

About Me

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my blog. I am married and just entering the second phase of my life as a Army retiree's wife. My husband and I did 25+ years in the Army. He is now officially a retired Colonel and has just entered the civilian workforce and I am happily settled in our 1830 Stone house. I (along with my Mom) operate www.theoldtatteredflag and currently we are building a small shop in the back part of the house. We live in Northern NY, right near the Canadian border. I have two handsome sons and 2 puggles. Life is busy for us, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
