I felt that wool backing foundation would stretch too much if the quilt is hung. I am going to do a small outline stitch, I like the stitches to be seen but feel that a blanket stitch would be too much, make it too busy as there is a lot of stitching. I too would worry about cat hair, we have three dogs and they always have to try out a new rug. That's fine, rugs are rugs, but I do think I will end up hanging this wool quilt up.
Thanks for writing!

Julietheoldtatteredflaghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09480627181990770825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2811533684016359770.post-23526503565385829582013-04-24T14:00:21.227-07:002013-04-24T14:00:21.227-07:00What a beautiful quilt that is going to be! I really like the blue you chose for the sashing. When appliquéing, are you going to do blanket stitch or blind stitch? I have always wanted to do a wool quilt, but have always worried about all the cat hair that would cling to it.
MelindaMerry Wind Farmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13693488571364309791noreply@blogger.com
