"Under theWeb"

"Pumpkin Parade"

"Turkey in the Vines"

"Spotted Green Gold" Wool

"Spider Webs" Wool
It's been another one of those weeks, busy, busy, busy!  We had a graduation here last weekend with 14 people here for four days.  Lots of fun and good food, then last night we had 35 people here for my husband's work farewell.  My mother says she feels like we're on a treadmill.  I made the decision to bite the bullet though and commit to moving the last week of August.  So,  it doesn't look like our pace is going to slow down.  Missouri, here we come!  If any of you are within 8 hours of Fort Leonard Wood we have wool and will travel.  We love to set up at hook ins, just let us know when and where to be.

Anyway, I digress.
I wanted to show you some pictures, I showed you "Under the Web" before, but wanted to let you know that the pattern is now available on www.theoldtatteredflag.com  I was also pleasantly surprised when Ann brought over two rugs I had designed specially for her last year.  She was just putting the finishing touches on, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to photograph them.  I also have decided, with her blessing, to make them available to everyone, so they are also on the website.  "Pumpkin Parade" is just so darn whimsical, it makes me smile.  "Turkey in the Vines" is a larger version of my "Let's talk Turkey" design of last year.  Ann wanted it made larger for her bench.  I just love the outcome!!  She's a beautiful hooker!!!
The two wools are just 2 of 33 new wools  I added this morning.  Several of the wools are 1 yard pieces and are one of a kinds, nice spots and mottles.
And........I am off right now to put the final stitches in my "Antique Coverlet" wool applique.  I WILL have that pattern available this week and will post a picture of the finished product tomorrow.

Treadmill keeps running.........Until next time.....

We........ok, he did it!!

Two handsome brothers

Gorgeous new wools

New Rug.....under the web!
I haven't had a chance to write much as we've been getting ready for graduation and putting the wool studio back in order after the quilt show as well as everyday business.  Just wanted to write a quick note to show you some new things.  First, had to show you the funny picture of my youngest, Jeremy, who graduated from high school Friday night and my husband and I.  We had one of those, "YES, we did it" moments and wanted it caught on film. Little did we know we were blocking out the graduates face!!!  Funny!
Next you can see Jeremy and Josh, our oldest.  No denying they are brothers!!
Tomorrow I plan to sit and upload some beautiful hand dyed wools on the website in 1 yard pieces.  These are all one of a kinds.  Visit www.theoldtatteredflag.com  to see them.
And the last picture is one of our newest patterns "Under the Web", it will also be available on the website tomorrow.
If you are interested in getting our monthly newsletter with new products, tips, recipes, a craft idea and more, visit the website and/or send me your email address, I'll gladly add you to the distro, and don't worry, I only send out one email a month.
Until next time.....

North Country Quilt Show

Quilts, wonderful quilts!!

The Old Tattered Flag Booth

again....

3 Pumpkins Wool Applique

Beehive in the Flowers Wool Applique

Prim Sheep Wool Applique

We are having a very low key day here as we are just getting back from the North Country Quilt show.  It was Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Clayton, NY.  What a wonderful group of women we met.  The three days just flew by.  There really are so many nice people out there and it's nice to be in a place where everyone is creative and loves what you do.  We'd like to thank Tamara for putting us in touch with the ladies who run the quilt show.  To all the ladies who did run the show and all the volunteers, a big thank you as well.  It was a very relaxed, well run show.
The last three pictures are of my latest wool applique patterns that I did get listed on my website, www.theoldtatteredflag.com  I have not had a chance to get the kits on just yet, but we do have them ready to go.  If interested, zip me an email at theoldtatteredflag@yahoo.com  In the next week I will be adding 1 yard pieces of very special hand dyed wools to the website and I hope to get that coverlet wool applique done.  So, keep watching!  Now, back to the grind of putting everything away.
Until next time.....
